What Is Juvéderm®?

JUVÉDERM is an injectable facial filler derived from hyaluronic acid. JUVÉDERM is a popular non-surgical anti-aging treatment because it can smooth away fine lines and wrinkles and restore lost facial volume. JUVÉDERM can also be used to plump the lips and contour the cheeks and other facial features. JUVÉDERM comes in five different formulas to help you meet a variety of cosmetic goals.

Benefits of JUVÉDERM

Allergan, the manufacturer of JUVÉDERM, describes it as a “next generation” filler. JUVÉDERM fillers have two significant differences from other hyaluronic acid fillers: they are produced with more cross-linking between the hyaluronic acid molecules, which may make them more resistant to absorption by the body, and they are produced with a smoother texture than other hyaluronic acid fillers.

Benefits of JUVÉDERM include:

Types of Juvéderm

Juvéderm® Ultra

JUVÉDERM Ultra is designed to target fine lines in the face that are more superficial in nature. This FDA-approved treatment is composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural component of the human body, and often has results that last six months to a year.

Juvéderm® Ultra Plus

JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus is a member of the JUVÉDERM family that is designed to rejuvenate the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles in the face.
This injectable gel is more concentrated in its composition, allowing our physicians to treat deeper facial folds and wrinkles, with results that can often last up to a year.

Juvéderm® Vollure XC

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE is approved by the U.S Food and Drug Administration to correct moderate to severe wrinkles and nasolabial folds (lines between the nose and mouth.) JUVÉDERM VOLLURE is designed to provide natural-looking volumization that diminishes signs of wrinkles and gives the treatment area a smoother, more refreshed look.

Juvéderm® Volbella®

Designed specifically for the lips, JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA can enhance the appearance of the lips with soft, natural-looking volume and without an “overly augmented” look. JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA also reduces fine lines around the mouth for a more youthful appearance.

Juvéderm®Voluma® XC

As we age, our skin naturally starts to lose its elasticity. The effects of gravity and facial fat loss can also contribute to a hollow and tired look. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA is uniquely formulated to restore lost facial volume in the cheeks, cheekbones, and chin. This treatment can restore supple cheeks, making them appear higher and firmer in order to enhance the overall shape of your face.

Juvéderm® Volux

Juvéderm® Volux™Juvéderm® Vollux is a hyaluronic acid-based filler that has been approved by the FDA to treat moderate to severe deficiencies in jawline definition. Volux is a concentrated gel formula that makes it possible for our expert injectors to improve jawline contours, facial symmetry and the appearance of a recessed chin, with results lasting up to two years.

JUVÉDERM Skinvive

We are excited to offer JUVÉDERM Skinvive, which is the first hyaluronic acid intradermal microdroplet injection for skin smoothness in the U.S. Skinvive is different than other injectable fillers because it is designed to actually smooth and hydrate the skin. FDA-approved for use in the cheeks for all skin types, Skinvive gives skin a youthful glow.

What to Expect From Your JUVÉDERM Treatment

Preparing for JUVÉDERM

You will discuss your goals and concerns with one of our injectable experts in order to determine if JUVÉDERM is right for you. Once we have decided that you are a candidate, we will advise you on the best JUVÉDERM formula for you and create a customized treatment plan.

Your JUVÉDERM Injection Procedure

JUVÉDERM is an in-office procedure that typically takes less than 30 minutes. JUVÉDERM is injected into the treatment areas with a very fine needle. The solution’s lidocaine element should serve as an effective anesthetic and enhance your comfort during the procedure. Some patients choose to apply a topical numbing cream prior to treatment.

JUVÉDERM Recovery

After your JUVÉDERM treatment, you should be able to resume daily activities within 24 hours. Some swelling and redness is expected around the injection sites; however, these effects should fade within a few days.

JUVÉDERM Results

Many patients experience immediately noticeable results and enjoy a refreshed and renewed appearance. Occasional maintenance treatments can help sustain the desired results.
