What to expect From Your Hollywood Laser Peel
A carbon lotion will be applied to the skin and left for 10 to 15 minutes. Several passes of the laser will then be made. The carbon solution absorbs the heat of the laser, heating up the deeper layers of the skin and stimulating collagen. The laser breaks up melanin (pigment) which allows it to be carried away by the body’s natural cleansing processes. The laser will gently remove the carbon lotion along with the topmost layer of dead skin, resulting in glowing, younger-looking skin. Most people describe a warm tingling sensation in their skin during the procedure. No topical anesthetic is necessary.
