Dr. Paul M. Friedman Heading to Washington, D.C. for American Academy of Dermatology’s 74th Annual Meeting
Paul M. Friedman, M.D. is a firm believer in the value of regular meetings with other dermatologists to share their knowledge, expertise, and cutting edge dermatology research to the ultimate benefit of patients. That is one reason why he has been attending the American Academy of Dermatology’s Annual Meeting since 1998, and has been speaking at the event for several years. This year is no exception, and Dr. Friedman says he is looking forward to the AAD’s 74th Annual Meeting to be held in Washington, D.C. from March 4th through March 8th. “It’s the largest gathering of dermatologists on an annual basis for a meeting that discusses cutting-edge dermatology treatments, and it provides an opportunity to meet with many colleagues throughout the world. Patients benefit when their physicians stay abreast of the latest state-of-the-art treatment options for a variety of skin conditions.”
Dr. Friedman will be serving as faculty for the Symposium Pearls from the Masters of Dermatologic Surgery, where he will talk about innovative new treatment options that he has incorporated into our practice to optimize outcomes for patients. Among the topics he will discuss is his approach to treating a variety of difficult skin conditions with combination laser technology. Dr. Friedman says these techniques are designed to improve outcomes and results for a number of different conditions, including birthmark removal, tattoo removal, melasma, and treatment for surgical scars.
At a separate presentation for the Disorders of Pigmentation Forum at the AAD, Dr. Friedman will serve as faculty with some of his esteemed colleagues and speak on the best laser and light-based treatment methods for hyperpigmentation disorders. He will later speak at the Association of Surgical Faculty to discuss his research with TRASER – an investigational technology for the treatment of vascular lesions. On the conference’s opening night, March 4th, Dr. Friedman will be attending AAD’s Media Expert Team Reception to celebrate physicians’ work with the media to educate the public about skin, hair, and nail health. He will also be attending the Sturge-Weber Foundation 14th annual event at the AAD meeting in support of individuals with capillary vascular and port wine stain birthmarks. www.sturge-weber.org
These are just a few of the many events during the AAD 74th Annual Meeting for which Dr. Friedman will take part. He says he is very excited to continue his role in advancing the field of dermatology and meeting with colleagues who share the same goal. “These are the experts in the field getting together to discuss their experiences and their latest research. I’m proud to be a part of the faculty.”
