Dr. Paul M. Friedman Discusses the Best Lasers for Tattoo Removal, Hyperpigmentation, and Other Conditions in Aesthetic Channel Article
Our lead dermatologist and the Director of Dermatology & Laser Surgery Center, Dr. Paul M. Friedman, was recently asked for his thoughts on laser tattoo removal and other topics for The Aesthetic Channel news magazine. In an article by John Jesitus titled, “Pigment-Targeting Laser Advancements,” Dr. Friedman discussed the many benefits of picosecond lasers for removing tattoos. He notes that these types of lasers can be very effective at breaking up ink particles on tattoos that include inks that can be particularly difficult to treat, such as blues and greens. Dr. Friedman also talked about the picosecond laser’s ability to achieve excellent results in patients of all skin types.
Later in the article, Dr. Friedman extolled the many virtues that advanced laser therapies can provide in terms of improving overall skin texture, reducing signs of acne scarring and wrinkles, and improving areas affected by hyperpigmentation. He noted that a variety of fractionated, non-ablative laser procedures are available that can help patients address their concerns without the downtime and with less of the risks associated with more traditional resurfacing treatments.
